Ceylon Tea Tasting

Tea Tasting is an art that is carried out by highly specialized and trained persons who can understand the complexity of the flavor and aroma of different teas. This process is vital when teas of different regions are combined to produce various blends. It is also helpful in understanding the quality, specifications and grades of tea whereby the subtle differences in the flavor, color and taste profiles can be determined so as to conform to consumer requirements.

The process entails rows of ceramic cups with liquid tea of varying hues and the physical tea leaves beside it.
